The Lonsdale Cub Scouts recently had the exciting opportunity to tour the local fire station with Captain Vycital. It was a fun and educational experience for the young scouts, who got to see firsthand the inner workings of a fire station and learn about the important role firefighters play in our community. Captain Vycital was a fantastic guide, taking the time to explain the different types of fire trucks and equipment, as well as demonstrating some of the tools used in firefighting. The scouts were even allowed to sit in the fire trucks, which was a highlight of the visit. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that left the Cub Scouts with a newfound appreciation for the brave men and women who protect our city.

In a gesture of gratitude and from donations made during popcorn sales by our Scouts around the region, the scouts also donated Trails End popcorn to the fire department, showing appreciation for our hometown heroes. It’s great to see such support for those who protect and serve our community.
