This past Thursday, Lonsdale Cub Scouts Pack 327 visited the Lonsdale MN American Legion . Our Scouts donated 3 boxes of popcorn to the Legion veterans, Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the Legion, and Legion Riders. They worked hard through their fundraising this fall for their Pack and their Hometown Heroes! With our couple of minutes with the mic, we also shared our Pack’s goals, offered help with service projects, and thanked the veterans for their service!

The Scouts enjoyed seeing the opening ceremony and recitation of oaths, noting the similarities to Scout color guards—very cool!

Next stops: Lonsdale police and fire stations, plus some ideas we have to hopefully outreach to local veterans not yet involved in organizations. If anyone knows a vet that we could deliver a bag of popcorn or chocolatey pretzels to this holiday season, along with a thank you card from our Scouts, please reach out to cubmaster@lonsdalescouts.org
