Pack 327 held their annual Blue & Gold Banquet and Pinewood Derby in Lonsdale. 

Breaking News: Congratulations to Emmett W, the 2024 Pack 327 Lonsdale Pinewood Derby Champion!

Emmett W, a Wolf Cub in Pack 327 of Lonsdale swept the derby, winning the Scout Class with car “Gary” and also the Best In Show Car Design Award! Emmett also set a new track record of 217.86 mph. 

Keegan L, an Arrow of Light scout in Pack 327 of Lonsdale, won the inaugural Best Fuel Mileage Class with his family class entry “Money” and set the track record at 78.96 mph. We can’t wait to see if someone can cross the finish line slower next February, or will this time be hard to beat?

There were 7 entries in this year’s always-exciting Outlaw Class. But it seems the Outlaw racers need to step up their game, as the first place Outlaw would have finished 3rd in the more restricted Scout Class!  However, the 5th place finishing car provided some drama by performing flips at the end of each of its heats! Watch that below in super slow mo as the car titled “Walter Payton” does multiple flips (we count 2) in the air and then makes hard contact with the car “Camo.”  No injuries were reported and both cars were able to finish racing all heats.
